2004
The Panelto Foods team travel to San Vincenzo in Italy to learn age old BIGA bread making techniques from master baker Georgio Celli.
2005
The first Panelto Foods bakery goes into production, bringing exciting, light and flavoursome ‘Biga-Style’ breads to a whole new market.
2006
Our enduring customer favourites – the classic panini and ciabatta – launched to great success across major Irish and UK retailer in-store bakeries.
2007
Panelto launches a new range of ‘Sandwich Breads’ to elevate the humble sandwich to new heights.
2014
New Konig line installed at an investment of €5m enabling the production of premium quality speciality bread rolls.
2017
With over €30m investment, construction begins on Bakery 2 to give increased capacity and production capability to meet market demand.
2019
In 2019 we harnessed our loaves capability in Bakery 2 to develop a range of premium loaves in collaboration with our key customers.
2020
Panelto Foods Innovation Centre opens an exciting pathway for future insight-driven product development.
2021
A fully-automated robotic scarifier is one of the many technological advancements to enhance the production capabilities of Bakery 2.
2022
Development work commences on Panelto’s Motherdough Inclusions Biga (MIB) project to produce a range of ‘Code of Practice’ Sourdough products.
2023
The success story of Heat & Eat continues with the launch of an exciting in-store and online marketing campaign.
2024
The Panelto Foods team return to their roots in Italy to develop a whole new range of modern and exciting Italian-inspired bread products.
